"Pop Tart" Tegris magazine inserts are used for rifle magazine retention in YMi Tactical rigs as well as many other chest rigs on the market.
The "Pop Tart" magazine insert uses a one piece clam shell design with Tegris thermoplastic composite fabric. It holds the magazine tight with 4" mil-spec 5664 nylon elastic. Retention is absolutely amazing! It is smoother and less clunky than Kydex but has better retention than just plain elastic however holds its shape open, for a quick smooth re-insertion. By using a single one piece design, you can setup magazines individually for a perfect setup. You can set each magazine up to the spacing you'd like or even cant them slightly for easier access in and out of the chest rig. They are also available in double and triple configurations, as well as tight and spaced positions.
"Pop Tarts" are 5" in height as well as a hook/hook or hook/loop configuration. So depending on what your rig uses, YMi Tactical has you covered. They will work anywhere velcro is used to hold magazines in place. The elastic and velcro come in black, coyote brown, and ranger green depending on what you'd like to match your setup.
